Welcome to Out of the RED-S! Here you will find a community dedicated to helping you become the strongest, healthiest, and best athlete you can be, both in the short- and long-term. We have a video series to arm you with knowledge about RED-S, stories from other athletes to give you a personal connection, and a toolkit of other resources to springboard you forward. We hope that you will join the burgeoning crew of athletes who are taking advantage of fueling well and tapping into the best versions of themselves.

WHAT IS RED-S?

Relative energy deficiency in sport (RED-S) describes a syndrome of poor health and declining athletic performance that happens when athletes do not get enough fuel through food to support the energy demands of their daily lives and training. RED-S can and does affect athletes of any gender and ability level. (See here for source.)

As a multiple time NCAA DI All-American, Big Ten Champion, and now fourth year medical student, I have a unique skill set to arm you with knowledge and skills to combat RED-S.
